After an eight-year absence PSG rejoin the continent's big guns on Tuesday night as they open their Group A campaign at home to Dynamo Kiev at the Parc des Princes. And following the arrival of the Qatar Investment Authority as controlling shareholders, PSG have been among the biggest spenders in Europe with the likes of Ibrahimovic, Thiago Silva, Javier Pastore and Ezequiel Lavezzi all brought into the side. They were compared to that of Premier League champions City, who are also under Middle Eastern ownership, as their recruitment drive and big spending were almost similar.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic went on record to state that their fans should not expect too much of them as they only had to look at Manchester City's struggle last season as proof of the difficulties posed by Europe's elite club competition. City were fancied to challenge for the Champions League crown 12 months ago but crashed out at the group stage, and Ibrahimovic is eager to avoid a similar fate. Though he cited they lack experience with players in the team some of them never played in this compeition, he said the team will go out and giuve their best.

Meanwhile, Dynamo will fancy their chances of escaping from a group which also includes Dinamo Zagreb and Porto. They finished second in last season's Ukrainian league and arrive in Paris in good spirits. Striker Ideye Brown was quoted as saying that if they can play as team, and listen to the coach then they can get through.
