Match Preview :
Manchester City travels to the Britannia Stadium to face Stoke City and their cause has ben boosted by the return of a fit-again Sergio Aguero ahead of this match. The Argentine has been out injured since the opening weekend of the season after being carried off in the victory over Southampton with a knee problem but could make a return in this match.
Manchester City have beaten Southampton and Queens Park Rangers at hme but have drawn with Liverpool away from home to leave City in fourth in the table and just two points behind leaders Chelsea at the moment. Mancini knows that with the UEFA Champions League kicking off next Tuesday with a trip to Real Madrid, his squad are going to be stretched for resources.
This will not be an ideal ground for City as last season they conceded Peter Crouch's wonder goal so it will not be a foregone conclusion. And with former Manchester United striker Michael Owen in their squad following the signing of the free agent there is another threat to look out for upfront.
Stoke boss Tony Pulis will want any additional fire power to help in the search for a first league win of their season as they welcome big spending Manchester City. They have managed draws against Reading, Arsenal and Wigan Athletic have left the Potters in 12th position. They will be keen to build on a record of having only lost one of their last 11 home games against the teams who finished in last season's top six.
