Match Preview :
Arsenal welcomes the visit of Southampton who currently occupy bottom of the Premiership and without a point after defeats by Manchester City, Wigan Athletic and Manchester United. And after the International break, Southampton now face Arsenal and it will be a big mounati for them to climb in this match.
But in the Arsenal camp, there has been unrest with Arsene Wenger haven't signed a new contract yet. But Wenger has gone on record to state his players must show more commitment to the team, or else they must leave the club. Nevertheless Arsenal has made a good start defensively and Southampton will have to work extra hard if they are to get something from this match.
Even though Arsenal failed to score against Sunderland and Stoke City, Arsenal were very impressive in winning at Liverpool in their last match. It has to be said that Wenger's side have kept a clean sheet in each of their opening three league games for the first time since 1924/25, while in contrast Southampton have allowed their opponents more shots on target against them than any other team.
And for the record, Arsenal have also won none of their last four Premier League home games, with the last time they went five without a win coming in 1995 in the run up to George Graham's sacking.
