This one will be played for the coach. Andy Reid saw his side finish 8-8 on the back of a strong winning run but he has just lost his son during training camp and many are saying it might be his last season in charge. The Eagles will come here looking to obliterate the Browns.

Last season there was one aspect of the Eagles game that totally ruined their season, turnovers. Philadelphia were -13 in turnover margin and if you know it cost them because they actually outgained opponents last year by almost 84 yards per game at almost 1 yard per play.

While Philadelphia have the talented Michael Vick under centre the Cleveland Browns have a rookie QB in Brandon Weeden. In preseason he's completed less than half his passes, which is not good enough at this level. The Browns will have to try and protect him here as the Eagles are a hard hitting side that will blitz often and harass the newbie, not allowing him to settle in the pressured environment that is a home NFL debut.

Philadelphia started last season poorly, which is why they were 8-8 despite the excellent end to the season, when they began to click. A lot of the credit must go to Reid hiring Juan Castillo, who brought his defensive nous to this side and sorted that side of the game out.

Even at home Cleveland are heavy, heavy dogs here and against Vick you cannot give them a chance. Make your own jokes with that.

BETTING VERDICT

I've no doubt this will end up being a double digit blowout by the time the 4th quarter expires. Take the Eagles to win by at least 10 at a rather generous price.
