Reading who won the English Championships last season will take on The Champions League winner in Chelsea as they make the trip to Stamford Bridge in a battle of Russian owners.
Reading started off their Premiership campaign with a late draw against Stoke City thanks to Adam Le Fondre's penalty. It will not be an easy match against Chelsea who on Sunday defeated Wigan Athletic after a dream start to the game and will be a tough challenge to them.

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has been in control since 2003, managing a return of three Premier League titles, four FA Cups, two League Cups and one Champions League while he has also sacked eight managers.
On the other hand, Reading's Anton Zingarevich has had far less time as owner, with his takeover only confirmed this summer, but in those few months he has shown faith in McDermott, who was expecting to be fired, and since then has allowed players to be signed. What he will be hoping is to create a shock result at Stamford Bridge tonight.

Chelsea will still be without Marko Marin for tonight's match. Summer signing Marin's hamstring injury is expected to keep him out until the International break. Meanwhile, Ramires has recovered from the illness that kept him out of Sunday's opening win at Wigan and is available for selection.

Reading midfielder Jem Karacan will miss this match after failing to recover from a leg injury. Meanwhile, Striker Jason Roberts misses out through suspension and Jimmy Kebe is also unavailable due to a hamstring problem. On the other hand, new goalkeeper Stuart Taylor is available but is available but is not likely to be selected.
