Match Preview :
The Republic of Ireland has nothing left to play for but pride as they play their final Group C against Italy.
As it is, Giovanni Trapattoni's men are already eliminated from the European Championship, having been beaten in their opening two games against Croatia and Spain.
However, Italy must win if they are to have any hopes of progressing further but Trapattoni will not give any sympathy for his homeland as he intends to name his strongest side possible.
Trappatoni will hand the Captaincy to Damien Duff at the expense of Robbie Keane to mark the Fulham winger's 100th appearance in a green shirt.
Meanwhile, Boss Cesare Prandelli will be hoping for an improvement from his side, with successive 1-1 draws against Spain and Croatia to leave his side third in the group.

Shay Given keeps his place in goal, despite some poor goalkeeping errors, while John O'Shea, Sean St Ledger, Stephen Ward and Richard Dunne complete the back four.
Duff and Aiden McGeady will operate the flanks in midfield, with Keith Andrews and Glenn Whelan in the centre of midfield. In attack, Doyle will partner Keane who has this week stated hie desire to carry on playing even after the Euro 2012.
