After losing the Derby della Madonnina (4-2), Milan’s quest for the Scudetto ended prematurely, but Juventus never looked like they were going to slip up. However, Inter being the ones putting an end to their chances must have been painful.

They will relegate either way, but if they’ll be found guilty I guess they’ll start the Serie B (or C) campaign with a point deduction as a punishment.

Novara recorded their 7th victory in Serie A this season against Cesena over the previous weekend with captain Rigoni scoring a hattrick. Rigoni reached 11 goals this season, impressive for a midfielder at a poor team.

Giuseppe Mascara is ruled out with a suspension, which means that Morimoto should partner Jeda in front.

Even if they’ve already lost the battle for Scudetto, Milan is expected to end their season in style and Novara is the best opponent to do that against.

I can’t see Novara putting up much of a fight, this match will be more about celebrating Nesta, Gattuso and Inzaghi on their last match at Sansiro.

I expect Milan to dominate the game and score at least a couple of goals, they have to make it right with their fans after losing the Derby della Madonnina.
