Udinese remained with only one victory in their last 9 games after suffering a 3-1 defeat against Inter in the midweek, their second of the season at Stadio Friuli.
The Friulani opened the scoring with a nice effort from Danilo after just six minutes, but Wesley Snejder showed his class and scored a brace to give Inter the lead before Alvarez put the match beyond Udinese’s reach eight minutes before half-time.
Despite these poor results Udinese could still qualify for the UCL, with a victory against Lazio they could get on level points with the Biancocelesti, who hold the third and final CL spot.
Floro Flores is suspended for this match which means that Fabbrini could be given a chance to support Di Natale in front.

Lazio was the victim of the biggest upset of the midweek, with Novara taking all points in a 2-1 victory which denied Lazio the chance to put some distance between them and 4th placed Napoli.
With the race for third place heating up, Edi Reja’s team cannot afford any more wrong steps, but with so many missing players it will be difficult for them to keep their current position on the table.
Miroslav Klose would be much needed in front, but he is still recovering from an injury, so is the second best scorer of the team, Hernanes.
Lazio will also be without defenders Stankevicius and Stefan Radu, but at least they’ll have Konko available, the right back recovered from an injury.

Both teams suffered a drop in form in recent weeks, but both should be very motivated to win this game with the CL spots at stake.
Lazio have lost six of their last seven away matches in Seria A, while Udinese holds an excellent home record, they are actually second best after Juventus on the home league table.
I think that Udinese will make the home advantage count this time against a team that’s been struggling with injuries and miss their most important offensive players, Klose and Hernandes.
