This fixture throws up another two attack-minded teams in Norwich City and Burnley who do battle at Carrow Road on Saturday afternoon in the third round of the cup, as goals are surely not far away in this one either.
Norwich City
Norwich City are currently sitting pretty in a mid-table position in the Premiership and will be looking to carry on their emphatic recent win at QPR 2-1 into this third round match against Championship Burnley, and must fancy their chances in booking their place in the fourth round.
The Canaries’ home league record stands at 4-3-3 17/15, and they have lost just once in their last six at home which is a great effort at this level for the Championship-promoted side. Norwich particularly go for it at home in front of their noisy fans and 6 out of the 10 home matches in the Premiership have resulted in over 2.5 goals.
Goals have been supplied courtesy of Grant Holt and Steve Morison (7 goals each), along with midfielder Anthony Pilkington (5 goals) and assists from Bradley Johnson (4 assists), and even if manager Paul Lambert decides to rotate his squad which is almost certain, then the likes of striker Simeon Jackson (2 goals) and creative midfielder Wes Hoolahan waiting in the wings almost guarantee goals.
Burnley
Burnley travel to Norwich on the back of a 1-2 loss at Leeds United and sit just three points off the play-off places – their away record stands at 6-0-6 15/18 and represents their all-or-nothing attitude to their football which is also of an attacking nature.
The Clarets have also recorded some impressive away wins lately with wins at Hull City, West Ham and Brighton and will also fancy their chances against a Norwich side that are set for changes to their personnel such are the priorities to Premiership survival these days.
Burnley also have their fair share of attacking personnel in striker Charlie Austin (9 goals), Jay Rodriguez (7 goals) and Ross Wallace (5 goals, 4 assists) who are conducive to goalscoring.

In short, I’m expecting goals in this match and will back the over 2.5 goals with perhaps Norwich City winning 2-1.
