Johan Djourou has joined them in the treatment room with a groin injury while first-choice left-back Gibbs suffered a setback in his recovery from a hernia, which he suffered back in October.

Jack Wilshere, Lukasz Fabianski, Vito Mannone, Abou Diaby and Ryo Miyaichi are the other absentees while Alex Song is suspended.

For the home side, Darren Bent is still out with a thigh injury. Emile Heskey will be missing with an Achilles problem, while James Collins is doubtful with a knee injury.
