2011-12-18 - Tottenham vs Sunderland
A Sports Betting Pick by Cruiser
Match Preview :
Tottenham are out of the Europa League despite beating Shamrock Rovers by four goals in midweek can now concentrate fully on the Premiership as they welcome Sunderland who are looking to register back to back win in his second match in charge of the team.
Last Sunday new manager Martin O'Neill's first match in charge of Sunderland saw his side grabbed a last minute win over Blackburn to claimed all three points.
Sunderland meanwhile managed to climbed to 16th in the standings but still just two points above the bottom three.
Tottenham meanwhile had their run of six games win ended by Stoke. As a result they dropped to fourth in the standings and will be looking to bounce back up immediately.
Something which Martin O'Neill does not want to be reminded is their poor record at White Hart Lane as Sunderland have managed just one win in their last ten visits to North London.
Team News :
Tottenham Team News :
Ledley King is set to return after he missed the defeat to Stoke with a knee problem. King will take the place of Younes Kaboul who is suspended.
Niko Kranjcar, Sandro and Steven Pienaar are all in contention after suffering no ill effects in the midweek Europa League clash against Shamrock.
However, Roman Pavlyuchenko is likely to again miss out with a back injury, whilst Tom Huddlestone (ankle) and Michael Dawson (Achilles) are long-term absentees.
Sunderland Team News :
O'Neill will make changes to the Black Cats as Craig Gardner is now fit again to return to the side.
Nicklas Bendtner is also fit again and he could take over from Connor Wickham in attack. Lee Cattermole is available after suspension, but he may have to sit on the bench.
