I've been betting against Bolton for a while now but they are very big price away from home, certainly on the AH. Swansea are yet to lose at home, but face a desperate opponent trying to get out of the relegation zone. These 2 sides are not far off each other, with Swansea just 3 places higher than Bolton in 15th.
I suppose the reason Swansea are favourites here is their clean sheets, for they have not conceded at home through 4 games this season, winning 2 and drawing 2. Bolton, on the other hand, are on a terrible run, and come into this having been beaten 2-1 at Arsenal in midweek. Prior to that, the Trotters were beaten 2-0 at home by Sunderland, but I do feel Owen Coyles men can take a point here.
Last weeks match between Swansea and Wolves leads me to believe this team is quite capable of giving things away with lapses, albeit small, in concentration. Leading 2-0 late on, the Swans allowed Wolves to quickly grab 2 goals and so it ended in a draw.
Had any top side thrown away a lead like that, it would have been a complete disaster and the papers would have been full of it, so let's not think it won't have an effect on the team. Confidence does drop, and there is a nervousness that can creep in. Bolton are sure to come and have a go. After all, what have they got to lose? Swansea, on the other hand, will be nervous about losing at home. There will be a doubt in their mind after that last match.
Bolton definitely see this as a game they can get points from. Coyle made changes when he took his team to Arsenal and they did manage to take the lead though Muamba. There is no shame in losing 2-1 away at Arsenal, and if you look past these last 2 games, you will find Bolton did manage to bang in 3 goals at Wigan, their last away match in the league. The Wanderers won that one 3-1, and I don't think they should be written off for this match either.
BETTING VERDICT
I'm going to go against Swansea. They're the new boys and they have not even conceded a goal in 4 home matches. That has to end and I reckon both teams will get on the scoresheet here.
For our bet, I'm going to go with Bolton with an AH start.
