Roy Hodgson will entertain his old club when Liverpool play West Brom in the late kickoff on Saturday. Last season, he was in charge as Liverpool beat the Baggies, and then saw his Baggies beat Liverpool later in the season! What happens this time around?

West Brom have strung together back to back wins and sit 12th as things stand. Last week, the Baggies took full advantage of an Aston Villa sending off and came back from a goal down to win away. This match is not going to be easy, and if you discount last years 2-1 win over Liverpool you'll find West Brom have not just lost all their other matches, 9 in total, against Liverpool, but failed to even score!

Liverpool were frustrated by Norwich in their last Premier League match, held to a 1-1 draw. They hit the woodwork yet again, something they have done more than any other team in the top flight, and were it not for that, they would surely have won. In midweek, Liverpool did extremely well in going to Stoke and winning 2-1.

If you look at recent results, Liverpool always manage to score at least 2. They might have been held to just 1 goal by Norwich and Manchester United, but then one is a great team while the other got a bit lucky. In many games, the score has been 2-0 (in case you like correct score bets).

I think the Baggies will score, but Liverpool should get back on track with a win here. Suarez was in magnificent form in midweek, scoring both goals. I reckon that carries over here and he gets on the scoresheet again.

BETTING VERDICT

I'll take Liverpool to score a couple of goals here. It's amazing how this bet lost in their last league match, at Norwich, but I can see Liverpool getting the win here in a game where West Brom have a high chance of scoring.
