The price on Arsenal is downright insulting. 6.00 is way too much and I don't think anyone should be put off taking that as it is not beyond Arsenal to come here, frustrate, scrap and ultimately beat Chelsea by a goal.
Arsenal are on a winning run. They haven't exactly drilled the opposition in this time but they're still managing to leave games with maximum points and in the end that is all that matters. Since losing to Tottenham, Arsenal have won 4 straight games, one of which was at Marseille where they even kept a clean sheet!!
Other than Marseille, Arsenal have managed to score at least 2 goals in there recent good run. What is probably putting people off Arsenal is the fact they let in goals in almost all their matches, even when winning, and of course their recent away record, which sees them winless in 8 attempts.
A good reason to feel Arsenal have a chance is the suspension of Didier Drogba, who always scores against Arsenal. 13 goals in 14 appearances against Arsenal and that has seen Chelsea win 10 of the 14 games they have played with him in their team, losing just once. Funnily, without him Arsenal have never been beaten!
One player who will be playing is Robin van Persie, and this is a huge reason to have a dabble on Arsenal. The captain is in the best form ever, netting 25 goals in 26 Premier League appearances in 2011. This is not just home form, for in his last 12 away games, RvP has scored 11 goals.
Last year Arsenal managed to beat Chelsea 3-1 at the Emirates and I really do fancy them to score at the Bridge, where Chelsea have kept just 1 clean sheet in 8 matches. The last time Arsenal won at Chelsea, Persie scored a brace. I really do feel he is going to play the hero in this one.
BETTING VERDICT
Lets keep it simple and just take both teams to score as our main bet. It could well come in before half-time.
Should you want to bet on a side, take Arsenal with the 1 goal start, as I don't think they will be beaten badly. (Oops, jinxed it!)
