Match Preview :
It is the Midlands Derby as Aston Villa plays host to West Brom at Villa Park and the host will look to get back to winning ways.
The sides are separated by just three points as Villa are in 8th spot with 11 points while West Brom are in 12th spot with 8 points.
Both sides have no complaints at the manner the started their season thus far. Villa paid the price when they were poor in defence as they went down tamely to Manchester City 4-1 in their last outing.
It needs to be stated that Villa are still unbeaten at home at Villa Park though. The man to watch for will be Gabriel Agbonlahor who has scored four goals this season, with three of them coming at Villa Park.
However, Roy Hodgson is targeting two wins from two derbies after his team beat Wolves 2-0 last week. But that is a tall order as WBA have not managed to win at Villa Park in the past 30 years.
West Brom are now unbeaten in three games and their fans will be hoping that they can at least get a draw against Villa in this match.
Team News :
Aston Villa
James Collins returns to the side to replace Ciaran Clark at the heart of the Villa defence. His return will be most welcome after they conceded four goals against Manchester City last weekend.
Barry Bannan and Charles N'Zogbia are both pushing for starting spots after coming off the bench against City. Nathan Delfouneso is also expected to recover from a hamstring injury and will at least be available as a substitute. Jermaine Jenas, will miss out with an Achilles injury. Eric Lichaj remains a long-term injury absentee for Villa.
West Brom
WBA manager Roy Hodgson does not have any injuries to contend with for this fixture and Nicky Shorey is expecting to regain his place at the expense of Billy Jones.
Peter Odemwingie is also pushing for a starting place and James Morrison could find himself warming the bench.
