Champions League
2011-10-18 - Real Madrid vs Lyon
A Sports Betting Pick by Cruiser
Match Preview :
Real Madrid will want to keep their 100% record as they host Lyon at the Santiago Bernabeu. They started their campaign in superb fashion by beating Dinamo Zagreb and Ajax to top their group currently. But Lyon are also unbeaten and will want to take the game to Real Madrid no doubt.
Jose Mourinho knows a win here would be good to put them into the knockout stages. The teams have faced each other in four of the past six campaigns, including at the last-16 stage for the past two campaigns. Madrid advanced last season, with Lyon triumphant the previous season.
Team News :
For Real, Raul Albiol is out due to a fractured cheekbone - whilst Ricardo Carvalho is doubtful with a back problem. Meanwhile, Pepe returned at the weekend and will start against Lyon. Mourinho has options on the left as Marcelo is back from suspension and Fabio Conetrao is fit again. Lassana Diarra and Nuri Sahin are both out with hamstring and knee injuries
Lyon go into the game without long-term absentees Lisandro Lopez and Yannis Tafer.
Jeremy Pied, Clement Grenier and Anthony Lopes are also sidelined for the French outfit, but Cris, Ederson and Yoann Gourcuff are all fit after making their comebacks last weekend.
Predictions :
Take Real Madrid to win, but not to clear the handicap.
Cheers and good luck,
Cruiser
