Football : English Premier League

Brighton
The Brighton fans must have thought life in the Championship was easy as they made a very strong start to the new season following promotion from League One last year, but it has become much tougher of late.
Brighton have fallen down to 5th in the Championship after a poor run of form and now find themselves 5 points off the top of the table. They have a 2-2-1 record in their new stadium, scoring 10 goals and conceding 9, making them the 3rd top scorers in the League, while only 1 team has conceded more goals at home.
The team have failed to win any of their last 5 games in all competitions, losing 4 of those games. A real worry for the side is the fact they have conceded 3 goals in each of their last 3 games. Brighton have failed to win any of their last 3 home games in all competitions, losing 2 of those games while conceding at least 2 goals in each.
Will Buckley will miss out with a hamstring injury, but Lewis Dunk is available after serving a 1 game suspension.
Hull City
Hull City are moving in the right direction, but they are still a long way from returning to the heights of Premier League football. They are moving up the League table as they continue on a good run of form of late.
The Tigers are 6th in the Championship, and they are only 5 points off the top of the table after a slow start. They have compiled a 2-2-1 record away from the KC Stadium, scoring 5 goals and conceding 6.
Goals have been a problem for the side all season, their 9 goal overall tally only being more than 4 other teams in the Championship. The team are unbeaten in 6 games, but they have only scored more than 1 goal in 1 of those games. Hull have won 4 of their last 6 games, but beating Cardiff last time out was their first win in 3 games.
Paul McKenna and Tom Cairney are both back in the squad after recovering from injury. Andy Dawson remains sidelined, but Adriano Basso should take his place in goal.
Head to Head
Brighton have won 3 in a row at home against Hull City, although the last of those games came in 2005/06 season.
The home team have scored at least 2 goals in each of those wins.
Prediction
This is a game that I think we could see a few goals scored as Brighton have been defending poorly before the international break and are allowing opponents too many chances at home in recent games.
Brighton have continued to score at least 1 goal in their home games in the League, but recently their defending has left a lot to be desired.
My only concern for the 'Over 2.5 Goals' is Hull have been very efficient in their games of late, usually trying to score the 1 goal that will make the difference. However, they have been conceding goals themselves of late and Brighton should be able to get on the scoresheet too.
The price for the 'Overs' is considered the less likely in that market, but I feel it is worth chancing here.
