Doncaster Rovers entertain mid-table Leeds United at the Keepmoat Stadium on Friday night as they look to continue their recent up-turn in form.

Since the arrival of new manager Dean Saunders from Wrexham, Donny have put together a good run of three unbeaten, with wins over Crystal Palace and a 2-1 away win at Peterborough United along with a 1-1 home draw with top six Hull City.
Doncaster started this season in dreadful fashion enduring four losses on the trot, but have slowly started to improve under the guidance of Saunders and he has certainly made a positive difference. Their home record therefore stands at 1-2-2 3/4, but there are certainly signs that they could definitely get something from this game, perhaps even all three points.
Whilst Doncasters' strikers and midfielders haven’t set the world alight so far, Doncaster do have some potentially dangerous players like strikers Billy Sharp, Jon Parkin and James Hayter, along with midfielders James Coppinger, John Oster, Simon Gillett and captain Brian Stock.
Leeds United
Tonight’s visitors Leeds United have won three of their last four matches as they currently sit in a comfortable mid-table position, but it’s worth pointing out that the three wins all came at their Elland Road ground, while on the road they have not won now in four trips.
Leeds United’s away form has dipped and are still waiting on their first away win along with Portsmouth, Coventry City and Millwall. Their away record stands at 0-2-2 7/10, with only Millwall (11 goals), Birmingham City and Bristol City (both 12 goals) conceding more on the road.
Forward Ross McCormack (8 goals, 2 assists) is the obvious threat, but Leeds also possess dangerous personnel such as Robert Snodgrass (1 goal, 6 assists), Luciano Becchio and the surprising new recruit Mikael Forssell who is capable of finding the net.
The Betting Verdict :
Whilst there’s no doubt over Leeds’ strong home form which stands at 4-0-1 10/5, they have struggled away from home thus far, and along with an upturn in Doncaster’s fortunes under new management, I’m going to back the home side in this one with a little insurance behind me – perhaps a 2-1 win for Doncaster.
