Match Preview :
Both sides goes into this match without a win since the start of the Premiership but for the hosts Norwich, this has been the poorest start to a Premier League campaign after three games with two points and negative 2 goals difference.
Paul Lambert's Norwich took a point from their opening two encounters before suffering a 3-1 defeat on the road to Chelsea. Before the Saturday's games that results have left Norwich 14th in the table but only three points away from breaking into the top half of the standings.
West Brom on the other hand meanwhile, have suffered three back-to-back defeats after the fixtures list have been rather unkind to them handing them a daunting opener at home to Manchester United and a trip to Stamford Bridge the following week which they lost on both occasions.
Roy Hodgson's men lost 1-0 to Stoke in their last matchand will be keen to get three points to avoid dropping to the bottom three so early in the season.
The last time these two sides clashed was in the Championship back in April 2008, when West Brom managed a 2-1 away win. And even though West Brom have won their last three clashes with today's opponent back in the Championships, it has to be said that Norwich are unbeaten in their last six meetings with the Midlanders in the Premiership.
Team News :
The hosts Norwich will be without first-choice goalkeeper John Ruddy for the clash after he received a one-match ban after his sending off against Chelsea. That means the back up goalkeeper in Declan Rudd will start in between the posts.
Manager Lambert remains without defenders Daniel Ayala and Elliot Ward, while Zak Whitbread is likely to be unavailable as he recovers from a hamstring injury. Striker James Vaughan could return after a long lay off from a knee injury.
Meanwhile, West Brom midfielder Zoltan Gera is in line to make his first start since he rejoined the club. The Hungary international was suspended for the opening three games while also recovering from ankle surgery.
The visitors are confident that striker Peter Odemwingie will be available after his recent ankle setback but his strike partner Shane Long is rated only 50-50 to recover from a calf injury prior to kickoff.
