Everton have not been beaten in the Premier League at home since November last year, winning 7 of the 11 matches they have played in front of their home fans and drawing the other 4. They will face a QPR side that won 10 of their 23 away games, which was joint best in the Championship. You'd think they would be able to give Everton a game here, but...

Last week, down in West London, we watched QPR get thumped by Bolton. The Shepherds Bush team lost 4-0, and while it's not clever to judge a team by 1 game, I felt I saw enough to know QPR will struggle away from home this season. There is a huge difference between the Championship and the Premier League, and Everton are no pushovers. This is a tough team, with a clever manager and they are a danger to the top 4 when they come to town. QPR would be lucky to get a point here.

Everton are not likely to give QPR time to settle, and once they go a goal down, the Londoners do not look like they have the mental strength to claw their way back. Everton, on the other hand, have enough experience at handling much better sides, and with no changes to the squad from last year, do have the advantage of being used to playing with each other.

Everton have failed to win their opening game in the last 3 seasons. That ends this Saturday. The question is, how much will they win by?
