Stoke could be distracted by the FA Cup Final against Manchester City and being safe with nothing else to play, they could be forgiven for having one eye on the biggest game in their history next Saturday at Wembley.

As for the team news ahead of this clash, Ramsey is expected to continue in midfield and will start his second game in a row as he provides cover for injured skipper Cesc Fabregas.

Meanwhile, Thomas Vermaelen could start his first match since the end of August after recovering from an Achilles injury. Tomas Rosicky is battling to shake off a bout of sickness before he can start this match.

However, Abou Diaby and Samir Nasri both miss the game due to injuries. The likes of Johan Djourou and Gael Clichy will undergo a late fitness test on their ankle and hamstring injury respectively before they can start this clash.

Meanwhile after being out for seven weeks on the sidelines, but after coming on against Blackpool, John Carew will hope to start this match . Andy Wilkinson (dead leg) was withdrawn against Blackpool last week but has done well in his recovery and will undergo a late fitness test.

Matthew Etherington is still battling to recover in time for the FA Cup Final after tearing his hamstring. Ricardo Fuller is out for the season after rupturing his Achilles against Aston Villa.
