Roma have lost two games in a row now and a failure to pick up a win here is simply unacceptable. Chievo on the other hand is not guaranteed survival so they too are looking for a win or two to be safe.

Roma lost 1-0 in the Coppa Italia to Inter and they now need to bounce back after such a defeat. Their last match saw them going down 3-2 at home to struggling Palermo, the alarm bells are ringing now.

And now it seems that Vincenzo Montella is unlikely to get the job on a permanent basis even if Roma miss out on the Champions League. All is not well in the Roma camp as he was seen arguing ith Jeremy Menez in training on Wednesday.

And it seems that they appeared to miss the presence of Francesco Totti who has experienced an upturn in form since Montella’s arrival.

As for Chievo, last Sunday's 2-0 win at home to Bologna keeps their hopes of survival alive still. Despite that coach Stefano Pioli seems unlikely to keep his job next season.

Reports have emerged in midweek that Chievo President Luca Campedelli is keen to bring back Domenico Di Carlo ahead of next season. Di Carlo left on good terms last summer, taking the helm at Sampdoria. However with his dismissal that means he is available once again.

And at the same time, Pioli has been linked with Palermo, who appreciate his ability to drill a team's defence.

For the record, Chievo last beat Roma here way back in 2003. It is unlikely to happen again.
