In addition to being in good form at the moment, Weaver has dominated Toronto. He is 6-1 in 7 career starts against them with a 2.93 ERA. His last appearance against them was in April 2010. He allowed 2 runs in 7 innings in a victory.
Toronto will pitch left-hander JoJo Reyes on Sunday. Reyes is only in the starting rotation until Brandon Morrow returns from injury. After some initial success years ago, Reyes has struggled in the major leagues, compiling a 6.52 ERA and allowing opposing batters to hit over .300 against him in his career.
His only start for the Blue Jays was last week when he allowed 5 runs in 3 1/3 innings against Oakland. Toronto eventually won that game despite the hole he put them in to start.
