Analysis:

With Manchester United beating Fulham yesterday, Arsenal knows they must win this match to stand any chance of challenging the Red Devils for the Premiership title. They are some 9 points behind United with two games behind so they still have a chance here.

Arsenal comes into this match drawing their last three games, so it is vital that they pick up a win and close the gap to United back once again with a game in hand should they get all three points here.
Wenger's side will not have it easy against Blackpool as they have managed to score against every side that have visited Bloomfield Road this season.

However, with just one win in their last 11 league outings, Blackpool have been in freefall of late and are just one point abaove the relegation zone. It has to be said that Blackpool has the best scoring record from corners while Arsenal have conceded a higher proportion of goals from set plays than any other team in the Premier League.

As for the team news ahead of this clash, the home side Blackpool will welcome back striker DJ Campbell, who is available again having served a three-match ban for a red card against Wolves on February 26th. They are at full strength but it remains to be seen if they can keep a clean sheet as it has been 13 games since they kept a clean sheet.

They do have some minor doubts on reserve goalkeeper Matthew Gilks, defender Chris Basham and forward Billy Clarke, who are each struggling with knee injuries.

For Arsenal, with Lukasz Fabianski out for the season and Wojciech Szczesny still sidelined with a finger injury, Manuel Almunia should start in goal. Jens Lehmann will be waiting as the backup goalkeeper here.

Arsenal still have injuries to worry about with the likes of Johan Djourou (shoulder) and Thomas Vermaelen (Achilles) still short of fitness in defence. Midfield pair Denilson (toe) and Aaron Ramsey (groin) are doubts, but Wenger has a number of options to field in attack.

Robin van Persie has scored 19 goals in his last 20 Premier League starts and will spearhead the attack here.
