FC Nurnberg had an exhausting match in the DFB Cup during midweek which they lost 3-2 to Schalke 04 after extra time was played and this team is not used to play twice a week.
Now there might be some changes in the team in order for FC Nurnberg to recover, but coach Dieter Hecking does not have such a big squad of players to choose from.
The defender Juri Judt will probably miss this match as a result of a injury which he picked up in the DFB Cup match in a head collision with an opposing player.
Also the midfielder Mehmet Ekici will have to miss this match as a result of his fifth yellow card which he had picked up in the Bundesliga match last weekend.
Pelle Nilsson and Ilkay Gundogan are also still unavailable to this week and are expected back in the squad next weekend in the home match against Bayer Leverkusen.

Last weekend Hamburger SV took three points with the win over Eintracht Frankfurt with only goal scored by Mladen Petric who had entered as a substitute in that match. Now Hamburger SV climbed up to the sixth place at the Bundesliga table with 30 points and are on a positive run with three straight Bundesliga victories.
Not many changes are expected in the team since last weekend except that David Jarolim is back in the midfield after serving his one match suspension for yellow cards and will replace Piotr Trochowski in the starting eleven.
Marcell Jansen have been struggling with a flu and probably he will not be able to play as well as Joris Mathijsen and Collin Benjamin who are expected back in the team in the next Bundesliga match.
The midfielder Jonathan Pitroipa has strained a thigh muscle in the match against Eintracht Frankfurt last weekend but is expected to recover on time to play.
Gojko Kacar will start as a central defender for the first time after recovering from injury and although Mladen Petric scored the winner last weekend he will most likely start this match from the bench and in the attack Ruud van Nistelrooy will be paired with Ben-Hatira.
