English Premier
2010-12-20 - Manchester City vs Everton
A Sports Betting Pick by Cruiser
Analysis:Manchester City can go top of the Premiership after a number of postponement last weekend and this game has been given the go ahead after just two Premiership games were given the green light to go ahead.
A win here would put Manchester City at the summit of the Premiership for the first time in 81 years. The player to watch will be Carlos Tevez who will be the player to watch here despite handing in a transfer request when the transfer market opens in January.
But the home side have shown that they are no longer a one man team now. Roberto Mancini's men are currently unbeaten in seven Premier League games, only the fourth time they have managed such a feat. But recently they have struggled to get the goals and that has become a concern for Mancini.
It is a fact that City have failed to score in three of their last four home matches going into this match. The good news is that they have kept a clean sheet in each of those games.
Everton goes into this match with history on their side. That is beacuse Everton have won five of their last six Premier League games against City and have emerged victorious on each of their last three visits to Eastlands. The Toffess are also difficult to beat on their travels as they are unbeaten in their last six away games.
But it must be also noted that they have drawn their last four games away from home and have picked up only one win from their last nine Premiership games. That has left them just two points below the relegation zone.
As for the team news, Manchester City will hand Carlos Tevez a starting spot but will no longer give him the Captaincy of the side. Tevez was rested on Thursday night when the team drew with Juventus in the Europa League after missing the West Ham victory last weekend as he was suspended.
Aleksandar Kolarov returns to the side after a suspension, while Nigel de Jong sits out this game.
As for Everton, they are set to be without Steven Pinaar so the side will lack creativity. Mikel Arteta serves the final game of a three-match suspension and John Heitinga (knee) is out of this match.
Defender Tony Hibbert is back in the side after an ankle injury.
