Analysis:Ajax knows that time is running out for them to qualify in Group G and must get something out of their clash with Real Madrid tonight. If they lose tonight and A.C Milan beats Auxerre in the other group's clash then they will be out of the running to the next round.

As for the team news, Urby Emanuelson is a doubt for the home side Ajax after complaining of pain in his ankle following Saturday's goalless draw with PSV Eindhoven. Spanish full-back Oleguer sat out that match with a hamstring problem and he is expected to be missing once again tonight.
Florian Jozefzoon is out with a knee injury, but talismanic striker Luis Suarez is available to boss Martin Jol despite currently serving a domestic suspension. Meanwhile Evander Sno trained on Monday but he is unlikely to return to the starting lineup after suffering heart problems on 13th September.
As for Real Madrid they will be without a number of key players for this trip. Ricardo Carvalho is nursing a bruised thigh and will not be risked here. Gonzalo Higuain will be unavailable as he has a back problem, giving Karim Benzema an opportunity to impress. Sami Khedira is ruled out with a hamstring complaint, but fellow anchorman Lassana Diarra is back to full fitness after a groin injury.
