Heh! It worked last night, so I'll try it again!
SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS
The Giants won yesterday, as predicted, but their lead in the NL West remains at 0.5 games. San Diego are still hot on their heels, and the series between the 2 sides looms. So what's changed? Same teams, same location. Same trends. For the Giants, same strong motivation!
The Giants send out Jonathan Sanchez tonight and he has been in top form of late. He has allowed just 1 run, or less, in his last 4 starts, with an excellent 0.67ERA. His already great record gets even better on his travels, as he has a 2.94ERA in 15 away starts. The Giants went 10-5 in those games. In his last 3 road games, he has given up just 1 run combined, winning all 3 for San Fran.
CHICAGO CUBS
As I mentioned yesterday, Chicago won 8 of 9 before coming home, where they strangely seem to perform worse. They are now on a 7-27 home streak, which is dire.
The Cubs will put the ball in the hands of Randy Well. In his last start, he allowed just 1 run against St. Louis. However, he hasn't shown consistency by pitching several good games back to back. Thanks to that, his last outing means diddly squat to me and the big price on San Francisco, yet again, looks tasty.
