Sligo Rovers were beaten narrowly 1-0 by leaders Dundalk last week and amazingly has left them in 10th place which is third from bottom in the Airtricity League Of Ireland. Its hard to believe as they started the league 6 games unbeaten although 5 of them had been draws.
However some of the results were impressive, notably drawing at Bohemians and Shamrock Rovers. In their last home outing they thrashed second from bottom Drogheda 6-0 showing perhaps that they should be higher in the table although there is not a big points difference between sides as Sligo in tenth place are only 12 points off the lead with a game in hand.
That 6-0 win was there only victory in the last 5 games. They have drawn too many games as 7 of their 14 games have ended in stalemate but they have proved hard to beat. They beat their opponents on Saturday Bray Wanderers 3-2 away earlier in the season and will be hoping for a similar outcome here.
Its been a disastrous campaign for Bray Wanderers so far this season and the favourites for relegation tag has been justified so far. They have only one victory so far and incredibly that came away to the league leaders Dundalk by a 3-2 scoreline. They have only scored 4 goals in total on the road from their 6 away games, 3 of them in that shock win at Dundalk.
Their home record is awful, with just one draw and 6 defeats and a goal difference of -16. Their away record is a bit better with 4 goals scored and just 7 conceded. Bray were actually relegated last season but stayed up due to Cork City being relegated due to financial trouble. So they are acutally playing with more or less a First Division squad of players as they were only given notice of their Premier Division statues within a few weeks of the league starting. They will face an up hill battle in their visit to Sligo.

Neither side has been on good form but Sligo are without a doubt the better side and I definitely fancy them to win this. They are at 4/7 to win.
