Werder Bremen ended Schalke 04`s title dreams last weekend when they beat them 2-0 away and with that win Werder Bremen still hold the third and last position that leads into Champions league qualifications with 60 points, just two points above Bayer Leverkusen.

It has been a very turbulent season for HSV. Just prior the elimination by Fulham in the Europa League the coach Bruno Labbadia was sacked and replaced with interim manager Ricardo Moniz who will finish this season and this will be probably his last match in charge of this team.
There were some reports from the team that several of the players were in dispute with the former coach that resulted in some bad displays that put the team two places below the European spots. They do not have a chance for Europe next season so their only motivation will be to finish the season with a win. In theory, they can reach the sixth place that leads in Europe but they have to win against Werder Bremen and hope for a heavy loss of Stuttgart against Hoffenheim, which is unlikely to happen.
Hamburger SV have been playing very poor recently and have lost four of their last five games away from home. In the last ten matches, HSV have won just three times, drew four times and lost five matches.
Interim coach Moniz will have to do without Marcell Jansen, Romeo Castelen and Paolo Guerrero. The Dutchman Eljero Elia is doubtful whether he can play as he is still not fully fit, but there are reports that he might get some playing time.
