Analysis:Both sides goes into this clash knowing that a win here could give them a huge boost for their survival in the Premiership. While the visitors Wolves comes into this match out of the relegation zone, but it is just marginal as they are separated by goal difference with Burnley on 24 points.
If Wolves does get the win here then Mick McCarthy's men would go three points clear of their relegation rivals and ease the pressure off them. The same can be said of Burnley. They will look to their home form in a bid to take points off a side likely to be one of their main rivals in the relegation run-in.
A win for Burnley could also be bad news for Hull City should they lose to Arsenal, whilst dragging West Ham and Wigan back into the relegation battle should they fail to win their games.
Coming into this magtch, both sides have won just one of their last six outings and would see a win here as a much needed boost to avoid going back to the Championships.
As for the team news, Brian Laws will be boosted by the return of Steven Fletcher who has 11 goals to his credit, after recovering from a broken hand sustained on international duty with Scotland. However, Laws will be without midfielder Chris McCann as he is still out injured with a knee problem.
Defender Steven Caldwell who has not played since the reverse fixture between the two sides in December remains out with a groin injury.
As for Wolves, for the fifth successive Premier League match, McCarthy could name an unchanged side. His side were narrowly beaten by Manchester United at Molineux last time out giving his side reason to believe they have what it takes to go through the final ten matches of the season.
Upfront striker Stefan Maierhofer is in contention to start but he will have to undergo a fitness test after just recovering from an ankle injury sustained in training. McCarthy also has midfielder Dave Edwards back in training after three months out with an ankle problem, but at best he will start against Villa in the Midlands derby.
