2010-02-21 - Bologna vs Juventus

Analysis:Juventus won their last Serie A match, but now must carry on the winning momentum when they visit Bologna for this tricky fixture. Last week they battled to beat Genoa 3-2. That was a huge win as it was Zaccheroni’s first since he replaced Ciro Ferrara in the Bianconeri hot-seat and only the second in two months of League action for the club.
It had to be said that they were lucky to have been awarded a penalty which was converted by Del Piero as the team didn't looked comfortable with the new 3-4-1-2 system. Juve are now 6th, one point off fourth place and Champions League qualification and that will be their main realistic target this season.
Bologna are in excellent form and well on their way to mid-table having climbed out of the relegation zone. However they will be weakened without club captain Marco Di Vaio. Former Juve striker Di Vaio picked up an injury in the relegation dogfight with Livorno last week and his absence could bring the path for another ex-Bianconero – Marcelo Zalayeta to start this match.
Coach Franco Colomba will fancy the chances of another giant killing since his charges have beaten Fiorentina and drawn with Milan recently. The last time they met in September, Bologna held Juventus to a 1-1 draw.
The home side will be missing the likes of Massimo Mutarelli, Andrea Pisanu and Francesco Modesto. Salvatore Lanna is suspended for this clash.
The visitors will be pleased that their injury crisis has eased a little. However, key striker Vincenzo Iaquinta remains unavailable. Fabio Cannavaro is a doubt, while Christian Poulsen is out until March.
