After seven rounds without a win Hannover 96 dismissed the coach Andreas Bergmann and immediately replaced him with Mirko Slomka who did not had a good start when he lost to Hertha Berlin two weeks ago in his first match in charge and also lost to Mainz in the last round.
Hannover has only two wins at home this season and needs to improve quickly in order to escape from the dangerous zone at the table. Currently Hannover are without a win in eight matches, more than any other team in the league.
Right-back Steven Cherundolo will be out of this match due to his five yellow cards which he had picked last week against Mainz. The new signing Jan Durica, who pulled a thigh muscle against Mainz, is out of competition as well.
Jiri Stajner is doubtful but he will probably get a chance to play in the starting line up, and Mike Hanke will be the only attacker up front.

Nurnberg grabbed a point against Eintracht Frankfurt which ended their negative run of five losses in a row.
After a terrible run of results, coach Michael Oening was sacked and replaced by the former Hannover coach Dieter Hecking.
However, he did not change much in the team and Nurnberg are without a win in six matches (one draw). In the last nine away games, Nurnberg lost even seven and failed to score in six games.
Nurnberg have also failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their past ten matches which is the longest record in the Bundesliga at the moment.
The midfielder Peer Kluge left the club this winter, but the team has brought addition in the defense by signing Breno and Andreas Ottl from Bayern Munich. The team has also made new signing last week by bringing the defensive midfielder Michael Tavarres from Hamburger SV.
The team captain Andreas Wolf will miss this match due to five yellow cards suspension.

This is a derby between the bottom placed sides but i think that Hannover have advantage over Nurnberg and a bigger motivation. This will be a close match, probably not too many chances as both teams will not want to take big risks. The counter attacks will be main weapon for both teams and probably this match will be decided by one goal which will secure a home win and will push the team up leaving the relegation places.
