2010-01-23 - Manchester United vs Hull City
A Sports Betting Pick by Cruiser
Analysis:With both Chelsea and Arsenal involved in the FA Cup this weekend, Manchester United will be looking to get back to the top of the Premiership when they host Hull City in this match.
Even though United have not played their best recently, they still have won 7 out of their last 10 games. They have also emerged victorious in their last six meetings with Hull in all competitions and will want to ensure that carries on. Wayne Rooney have been in form scoring eight goals in his last nine Premier League games and Dimitar Berbatov three in his last three starts.
Hull is battling against relegation and though they survived last season, it looks difficult to avoid the drop this time around. They have dropped into the bottom three with a seven match winless run and what is worse is that they have failed to score in four of their last six fixtures.
Even though they did score against United back on 27th December, they still lost the game 3-1.
United who have their injuries problems eased will however miss the services of John O'Shea for the rest of the season with a thigh problem. But they will welcome back Rio Ferdinand after a calf problem. Berbatov will undergo a late fitness test as he suffered a dead leg in midweek's defeat to Manchester City.
Should the Bulgarian miss out, Mame Diouf could be drafted into Ferguson's starting XI, with the Senegalese striker grabbing a hat-trick for United's reserves in midweek.
The visitors will miss the services of Daniel Cousin as he has yet to return from the African Cup of Nations with Gabon. Seyi Olofinjana is also in Angola, with Nigeria, and he will not be available to Brown for the match. Also out will be midfielder Jimmy Bullard with a knee injury.
