Analysis:
Roberto Mancini will aim to get back to back wins in his appointment in charge when they travel to face Wolverhampton and continue his march up the table. Mancini started his reign with a win against Stoke but knows that his side can make it three consecutive wins having beaten Sunderland 4-3 in Hughes' last game in charge, but Wolves cannot be taken lightly as they are also been in form of late.
Wolves have won three out of their four matches to climbed out of the relegation zone before going down 2-0 at Liverpool on Boxing Day, and they did well enough before the dismissal of Stephan Ward in the 53rd minute.
McCarthy is expected to make changes as Ward is suspended with George Elokobi expected to replace him at left-back. But the likes of Michael Kightly, David Edwards and Andy Keogh remains out of the side.
As for Mancini, he will not have the services of Nedum Onuoha who will join fellow defender Joleon Lescott on the treatment table. Vincent Kompany is expected to keep his place with Kolo Toure here. That is because Toure has delayed his departure for the African Cup of Nations, allowing the City skipper to play at Molineux.
Martin Petrov is expected to keep his place on the right, but Shaun Wright-Phillips is also an option for Mancini to consider after recovering from his injury.
Craig Bellamy may be restored to the starting lineup in place of Robinho, who is yet to shinesince returning from an ankle injury, but Wayne Bridge, Emmanuel Adebayor and Roque Santa Cruz are set to warm the bench once again.
Take Manchester City and give the 3/4 ball here.
Cheers and good luck,
