One of the main reasons why the Saints are favored by 10 points over the Atlanta Falcons when the game is in Atlanta is because of injuries. The Falcons will be without running back Michael Turner for this contest and they might also be without quarterback Matt Ryan.

While the injuries are piling up for Atlanta, the truth of the matter is that it won’t matter if their two studs play or not.

The Falcons defense has been their downfall this season and it has gotten worse as the season has progressed. The Falcons have given up 28 points or more in five of their last seven games and they haven’t allowed less than 17 in those contests.

The biggest problem for the Falcons has been their pass defense. Their secondary has allowed 49 passing plays of 20 yards or longer, which is the most in the NFL.

That’s bad news as Drew Brees and the prolific Saints passing attack comes to town. With weapons like Marques Colston, Robert Meachem, Devery Henderson, Lance Moore and Jeremy Shockey, the Saints are going to shred the Falcons this week.
