2009-11-07 - Houston Cougars at Tulsa Hurricane
A Sports Betting Pick by Luccin
Venue: Tulsa, Oklahoma
Date 7th November, 7:30pm ET (00:30 London)
A high scoring shootout is on the cards, the impressive Houston travel to Tulsa to take on perennial performers Tulsa Golden Hurricane. A key moment in the season for both team, a real end to end affair is on the cards

Houston Cougars (7-1)
Houston come into this game with only one loss, but what a disaster, a narrow win at UTEP robs them of a shot at a BCS game, with the schedule they have played they would be a lock for being the highest ranked mid-major.
Do not expect to see any defence in this game, Houston rank #1 in all of college football on attack, averaging an incredible 563.3 yards per game. Defence is another story, a sorry 114th overall, giving up over 460 yards a game. Thats correct, the ball is moving over a 1000 yards per game in Houston games.
The main threat is awesome QB Case Keenum, over 3000 yards passing and 25 TD’s so far this season, only SMU have held him below 350 yards this season, no one has stopped him from scoring, and he has two 5 TD games, including in the loss at UTEP.
Tulsa Golden Hurricane (4-4)
The Hurricanes are usually among the front runners in this division but luck has deserted them this season, coming off the back of a three game skid Tulsa really need a win to give themselves a chance of becoming bowl eligible.
The usually high powered offence has been stuttering, only 3 games have seen them score over 30 points, in addition they have no signature wins, a narrow defeat by Boise State is probably the best result on the slate.
On the plus side the team have defended well and currently rank 46th in the NCAA, 2nd in the conference. Again the attack is dominated by the pass, QB G.J. Kinne has not really found his feet and has 5 games with 1TD or fewer this season.
The Betting Verdict :
There looks to be only one winner of this game, Tulsa’s defence must play its best game of the year if they hope to stay in touch, I believe the Houston offence will roll them over and win comfortably.
The Pick :
BEST BETTING TIP :
I expect Houston to win outright at 1.888 (-113)And consider :
