2009-10-24 - Oklahoma State at Baylor Bears

Oklahoma State Cowboys
Oklahoma State (5-1) started off the year ranked in the top 10 before an awful loss at home to Houston in their second game. This will only be their second game away from their home stadium.
Oklahoma State is averaging a little over 37 points per game with QB Zac Robinson. Their best receiver, Dez Bryant, has been lost due to a violation of NCAA rules. OSU still has plenty of playmakers on offense, though.
OSU’s weakness has always been defense, which is what bit them in their loss to Houston. But they did manage to hold a good Missouri team to only 17 points last week.
Baylor Bears
Baylor (3-3) had high hopes for the season after a decent finish last year. They got off to a decent start, but then lost their big playmaker in QB Robert Griffin in their 3rd game with a bad knee injury and things have been brutal for them since then. They have tried a few different QB’s with no great success. They have only scored 17 points combined in their last two games.
If Baylor had a healthy Griffin, they could have really given Oklahoma State some problems. However, the Baylor offense just isn’t strong enough to take advantage without him. And their defense has little chance against OSU’s offense.
Head to Head
As you can see below, Oklahoma State has dominated the series, winning 9 of the last 10 and most of them haven’t been close, with OSU covering the spread 8 of the 10 times.
