Analysis:This is the battle at the bottom end of the standingd and neither side can afford to lose this match when Hull welcomes Portsmouth to the KC Stadium.
Hull are currently third from the bottom of the standings as they accumulated seven points from nine games this season. Portsmouth are no better as they have just one win this season coming up against Wolves as that remains their only three points on the table.

As for the team news, Hull could start with record signing Jimmy Bullard in this match. The £5million midfielder made his first appearance in nine months as a substitute in Monday's loss at Fulham and then had another game in the reserves.
Defender Anthony Gardner also returns after two months out with injury to his knee while captain Nick Barmby will start after overcoming a calf problem.
The home side's only casualty will be Ian Ashbee as Richard Garcia is nearing full fitness after a knee injury.
As for the visitors Portsmouth, they will lose the services of midfielder Michael Brown after he was sent off against Tottenham.
Loan player Jamie O'Hara will return to the squad after he was ineligible to play against his parent club last weekend. Hermann Hreidarsson is still recovering from a foot tendon injury and will miss out here.
Out on long term for the visitors are Papa Bouba Diop and Richard Hughes with hamstring and hip problems.
