Most pundits would have had Bowling Green at 0-6 going into this game, in fact good wins over Troy and Kent State and a close one with Missouri tell us that this is a team that can pull off the victory.
The Falcons will pass the ball on virtually every down, the aerial attack has been impressive with QB Tyler Sheehan racking up nearly 2000 yards already, only Boise State and Missouri have managed to contain him so far.
Defence is less impressive, only 7th best in the MAC at stopping the opposition and the worst in the division when it comes to conceding points, there are no standout players on this defensive squad and a good all round team performance will be required.
Ball State Cardinals : (0-6)
The Cardinals were unbeaten at 12-0 last season, this year has been grim, my own ranking rate them at 120th best, out of 120 teams, a defeat against FBS New Hampshire is the low point.
That said recent weeks have seen some improvement and 1 score defeats in the last two weeks must give them some hope. Again passing dominates but on both sides of the ball the Cardinals have been nothing short of tragic.
Ball State have the worst offence and defence in the MAC, even worse the offence is ranked 116th and the defence is 101st.
The Cardinals must hope that QB Kelly Page shows large improvements, currently he has more picks than TD's (7-8), on a plus note he has passed for over 200 yards in his last two games.
