CSKA Moscow
Juande Ramos must have brought a book with magic spells from Spain. Otherwise it is hard to explain what had the specialist done with CSKA players during the half time interval of the home match against Krylia Sovetov.
Visitors were dictating matters on the pitch and Army-men looked as if Zico was still there at the bench. Ramos immediately transformed the initial 4-4-2 formation to 3-4-3 sending substitutes Shennikov and new-boy Guilherme to help partners out. The Brazilian striker went on to make a huge impact with 2 goals. CSKA’s sorrow for Vagner Love vanished.
3 days later Champions’ League clash against Wolfsburg in Germany showed Juande Ramos was no magician after all. It would really take a miracle to change something that was systematically dismantled since the start of the season by Zico. Horrible defensive mistakes allowed Grafite to make a hat-trick, while on the other end of the pitch CSKA was hopeless to say the least.
Juande Ramos is a hostage in this situation. The specialist arrived after the transfer window was closed and has to settle for the current material. Milos Krasic comes back from suspension, while Mark Gonzalez is injured. Tomas Necid will be left at the bench and Guilherme should continue to win over the love of local fans.
Dynamo Moscow
Dynamo drew Spartak at home 1-1 in another capital city derby. Kobelev’s men had an improved performance in comparison to what was shown in the recent weeks.
Romanian midfielder Ropotan scored an early goal on the 5th minute as Dynamo looked brighter than the opposition, but things took a 180 degree in the second half and Spartak made mounting pressure count with an equalizer.
Vladimir Gabulov suffered a fractured scull after a collision with Wellington. A serious injury is likely to keep him out until the end of the season. Young Anton Shunin will be carrying the heavy burden between Dynamo’s posts.
Defensive midfielder Dimidko has served his time and comes back from suspension. Portuguese international Luis Aguiar who was brought from Braga during the summer is not settling in well in the new championship. He was not part of the 18 man squad against Spartak.
There is no information about the reasons behind Kobelev’s decision, but obviously it has something to do with players’ attitude. Dynamo should play with a 4-5-1 formation as Kerzhakov’s partner Kokorin has been out of form recently forcing Kobelev to reconsider the two-striker offensive line.
Betting advice
Despite the bitter loss to Wolfsburg CSKA should continue to rise in the domestic championship. Dynamo, on the other hand, is going in opposite direction.
Just from emotional point of view - hosts should be given the edge.
