Dundalk are on their best run of the season winning their last 3 games. Not only that but they have managed to beat 2 of the title contenders.
Dundalk went to Cork and won by a 2-1 scorline and was followed by a 1-0 victory at home to Derry last week. Before that they convincingly beat Bray 3-0.
A team that looked in crisis a month ago is slowly but surely climbing the league table and a win against Bohs could leave them within 7 points of both Shamrock Rovers and Cork City who occupy third and fourth spot respectively.
Boss Sean Connor has lost a few players this season for differing reasons and while his side looked in crisis and only a few weeks ago and were booed off the pitch, the former Bohs boss has made some shrewd signings in recent weeks.
Striker Alex Williams was signed from Ayr United only 2 weeks ago and scored the winner against Derry City last week in his debut. Assistant Manger, former Celtic and Aberdeen star Joe Miller was influential in that signing and Connor is confident more signings will come as his side aim to keep climbing the table.
However they have lost twice to Bohs already this season and the Dublin side are on terrific form of late and Dundalk will be in for a real test here.

Bohs seem to have got over their little blip some weeks back and since losing to arch rivals Shamrock Rovers in May they have got 15 points from a possible 18.
Bohemians have also managed 4 clean sheets in those 6 games. Bohs of course are reigning champions and at the half way stage they sit at the top of the table 4 points clear of second place Derry and 5 ahead of Cork City and Shamrock Rovers.
The signs are there in recent weeks that the Bohs may just start to pull away just as they did last season.
Much of Bohs succcess this season has been down to the form of Striker Jason Byrne. Byrne is joint top scorer with Gary Twigg of Shamrock Rovers, both of whom are on 15 goals from 18 games. Byrne found the net last week along with Killian Brennan who is second top scorer for Bohs on 3 goals while midfielders Gary Deegan and Anto Murphy have got 2.
Boss Pat Fenlon will be looking for goals from his other strikers too and they may be hard to stop if they also start finding the net.
For me Bohs definitely have what it takes to put an end to Dundalk's revival. If they play anywhere near their potential they should take home the three points.
