Analysis:

Manchester City who won midweek against Hamburger but was not enough for them as they were knocked out of the UEFA Cup will now concentrate on the Premiership as they look to inflict more misery on bottom club West Brom.

Now Mark Hughes wants his side to qualify for another UEFA Cup next season as he hopes the fans can rekindle the same magical feeling in midweek. While concentrating on the UEFA Cup they were beaten by Fulham and missed the chance to go higher than their opponents in the table.

But now they will be fully focused and aim to restore their good home record having won their previous six league matches at Eastlands before that defeat by Fulham.

Meanwhile the visitors West Brom have an awful away record and even though their 2-2 draw with Portsmouth last week was commendable, but their time is slowly but surely running short on them.

Though West Brom lost once in their last four games, but the Baggies are 10 games without a win and now seven points adrift of safety with six games remaining.

Tony Mowbray's men will not have it easy if they hope to do the double over Mark Hughes team as they won the initial meeting 2-1 back in December at The Hawthorns.

With regards to the team news, the home side will be boosted by the return of winger Shaun Wright-Phillips after he missed their last two games with an ankle injury. Midfielder Nigel de Jong is likely to start as he was cup tied in the UEFA Cup although Vincent Kompany will likely keep his spot after a commanding performance.

Brazilian playmaker Elano will also keep his place after a good performance against Hamburger. The likes of Felipe Caicedo, Ched Evans and Danny Sturridge will battle for a spot upfront.

For the visitors, Abdoulaye Meite will once again start as Shelton Martis is out in the West Brom's defence. Fellow defender Gianni Zuiverloon is available once again following injury while striker Roman Bednar is hoping to be ready for selection after recovery from injury.
