2009-02-28 - Everton vs West Bromwich Albion
A Sports Betting Pick by Gooner
Football: England, Premier League
Saturday, 28th February 2009 - Kickoff 12:45
Everton ( 6th - Home Rec : 4-5-4 18:16)
Everton have had plenty of injury problems to deal with, and a very tough recent schedule, but somehow manager David Moyes has kept the Toffees going along well and Everton are sitting nicely in 6th place with a 5-4-1 record from the last 10 games.
Everton Team News :
The loss of Mikel Arteta to a season-ending knee injury is a big blow, and Victor Anichebe is also in the treatment room. Louis Saha, who recently returned from a hamstring injury, is now doubtful with a thigh problem.
Better news is that Leon Osman and Stephen Pienaar should both be available to boost the midfield and Tim Cahill and right-back Tony Hibbert return after suspension.
West Brom (20th - Away Rec : 1-2-10 6:25)
West Brom are just conceeding too many goals, especially away from home where they've let in at least two goals per game in EACH of their last six away games, losing five of them.
West BRom Team News :
West Brom midfielder Filipe Teixeira is expected to be available despite suffering a broken toe during last weekend's defeat at Fulham.
But midfielder Jonathan Greening and defender Jonas Olsson are sidelined with knee injuries, while Youssouf Mulumbu is out with a thigh strain.
The Betting Verdict
While Everton's home record is hardly the best in the league, the Toffees have shown a good level of consistancy recently and it's only a tough home fixture list that has stopped a string of victories.
West Brom are still struggling to find any sort of pattern when playing away from home - and turning up to face Everton at Goodison Park is no way to find it.

BEST BETTING TIP :
I'll take EVERTON to win - and the price of 1/2 (1.50) is fair.
