2008-11-09 - Indianapolis Colts at PITTSBURGH Steelers
A Sports Betting Pick by Indi Colts
Heinz Field, Pittsburgh, PA
Sunday November 09, 2008 : Kickoff 4:15 PM ET
This is probably the best matchup of week 10 with the Colts going to the Steelers.
Pittsburgh Steelers (6-2, 2-1 home)
The Stellers are looking one of the few solid teams this year with a 6-2 record. They lost in Philly and at home to Giants so those 2 defeats are not that bad against good teams.
The Pittsburgh defence has yet again been amazing this year and lead the nfl in yards given up per game and pass yards given up. They have been banged up for a few games but still gone out and won them.
Willie Parker came back last week and ran for 70 yards but we don't know his status for this game (I'm sure he'll play). Big Ben is having another superb season leading the Steelers through a tough schedule.
Indianapolis Colts (4-4, 2-2 away)
The Colts have gone into unknown territory this season. They are usually 8-0, 9-0 by now but this year has been very, very different.
At 4-4 they are struggling to make the play-offs and need to win games like this to stand any chance. Indy have lost too many games against poor teams this season and it's just a lack of consistency.
Manning has had a bad injury and missed all pre-season but he looks something near fully fit now.
The Colts have no running game this year which really is a bad thing. Ranked last for rushing really is abysmal and doesn't help Manning and the passing game at all.
Indy haven't looked very good on the road at all this year and need to buck their ideas up for this crucial game.
Recent Form

Baltimore 20-23 Steelers (W)
Giants 21-14 Steelers (L)

Colts 18-15 Vikings (W)

The Verdict
I am surprised to see only 3 games have been at home for the Steelers from 8 games which makes their 6-2 record look even better. The Colts are poor on the road and are a purely passing team.
With the Steelers being ranked number 1 on the pass, it doesn't look good for Indi.
I would take the Steelers to win this game and it will probably go unders too.
