The first thing that struck me in the odds listings for this weekend was the huge price on PSV with $2.28 being matched at Betfair at the moment.
True, PSV is not in the best of form lately and are struggling in the Champions League losing 3-0 on the road to Olympique Marseille last week, but are they really bad that they should be priced above evens against a team as NEC?
PSV are currently on the 4th place in the ranking with 18 points from 9 games and the team booked a 2-0 home win over Willem II last week thanks to a beautiful goal by Koevermans.
NEC knew a good start of the season collecting 15 points in 9 games and the team can be found back on the 7th place in the table. Last weekend NEC grabbed a 0-2 win on the road to Sparta Rotterdam thanks to goals from Ntibazonkiza and El-Akchaoui.
Looking at the injuries and suspensions we find Amrabat (att) and Bechet (def) sidelined for PSV while John(att), Otten (def) and Baart (gk) won't be able to play for NEC.
PSV grabbed six victories on the road to NEC in the last eight seasons, while over the last two seasons the team has been struggling recording a 0-0 draw and a 2-1 defeat in Nijmegen.
Still ... despite the bad form of PSV, odds round $2.25 simply have to be backed.
