Analysis:Wigan will aim to stop Stoke's City's impressive run and prevent them winning three matches in a row when they welcome them to the JJB Stadium for this clash today.
Stoke have managed to beat Arsenal 2-1 and also Sunderland in their last two games, but have been in the news for the wrong reasons after Arsene Wenger said the Stoke players have been deliberately trying to injured his players in that match.
As it is now, these two teams are separated by only two points but Wigan are just above the drop zone in 17th while Stoke's good form has seen them rise to 13th.
Wigan also recorded an impressive win last Saturday when they overcame Portsmouth 2-1 at Fratton Park to end a run of four straight defeats, so they will be egaer to record back to back defeats here today.
With regards to the team news, Wigan will have Lee Cattermole available despite confusing reports saying he is suspended. Wigan confirmed that Cattermole is on four yellow cards and has served his one match suspension for his red card against Sunderland.
They will not have Erik Edman as he just recovered from a cruciate ligament injury in a reserve clash with Middlesbrough on Tuesday after being out of action since March.
But the home side will have Amir Zaki who is in good goalscoring form and hope that he can continue scoring as he is the joint leader in the goalscoring charts with eight goals.
Emile Heskey will also hope he can get on the scoresheets after scoring against Portsmouth which turned out to be the winner and it was also his first goal since scoring against Hull back in August.
As for Stoke, Pullis will keep the same side that beat Arsemal in their last match. So we can expect to see Amdy Faye, who replaced Tom Soares in the last match to retain his place.
The likes of Liam Lawrence (ankle) and Andrew Davies (knee) are still out with long term injuries.
