This is one of those games that smells blowout.
Carolina has quietly been one of the best teams in the league. Their defense has been one of the best in the NFL. The Raiders haven’t shown anything that resembles a winning organization. This once proud franchise is in shambles.
The Panthers are only giving up 16 points a game, and the Raiders are only scoring 13 points a game. That spells trouble for an Oakland offense that has gotten worse lately.
Oakland Quarterback Russell looks clueless, and very well might be. He just hasn’t lived up to the hype the preceded him coming out of college. Their defense is wearing down due to the fact that the offense is so bad.
Carolina on the other hand should be able to run the ball and control the clock, plus pass deep for quick strikes. This is a mismatch that should have the Panthers at least a 12 point if not a 15 point favorite. Don’t forget that this is a 6-2 football team that nobody pays attention to.
The Giants, Eagles and Cowboys get all the hype, while Carolina does nothing but win.
