Barcelona will try not to take Basel lightly in the Champions League on Tuesday despite dishing out a 5-0 thrashing of the Swiss outfit just a fortnight ago.BARCELONA
The Catalan giants lead the way in Champions League Group C, having racked up nine points from three straight wins in the group stages and a win tonight could confirm Barca's progression to the knockout phase with two games to spare.
BASEL
Basel have yet to register a point in Group C and have scored only one goal in their three games so far, in a 1-2 home loss to Shaktar Donetsk.
Basel will be without Scott Chipperfield for the trip. The Australian winger has scored four times for Basel this season but has undergone surgery to clear up an infection and could be sidelined until January.
THE VERDICT
A look at the home/away form lines below show a pretty solid swathe of colours - with Barcelona dominant at home, and Basel losing away from home.
There is some risk of a draw here (about 20%) with Barcelona having enough breathing space to take it easy, and it's a very good "value" price, but obviously a risky bet.
However, I beleive that the home win trend will continue in this game too.
