Chelsea will be without left-back Ashley Cole for the Champions League trip to Roma as he has a calf problem. Cole could be out for up to 10 days after picking up the injury in the 5-0 win over Sunderland on Saturday.

Defender Ricardo Carvalho (hamstring) and midfielders Michael Ballack (foot) and Michael Essien (knee) remain out.

It's hard to see how Roma score enough goals to win if Totti doesn't play, so the draw looks like a good potential option.
